Marashen Crescent Board
The Marashen Crescent Board was formed in 1965 to adminster rented housing accomodation for the elderly in Port Erin, Port St Mary, Arbory and Rushen. There are four members, one from each of the local authorities.
There is now accomodation at three locations - the original Marashen Crescent, Port Erin with 47 units (4 double), Reayrt y Chrink, Four Roads, with 42 units (19 double) and Cooill Veg, Creggan Mooar, Port St Mary, with 12 units (all double).
The tenants are completely independent but a "good neighbour" warden calls on every unit every day and staff are on call throughout the night. The units are also linked to Manx Carephones in case of emergencies.
